My Faves for Thursday, June 19, 2008

Automakers keep throwing dates like 2010, 2011, and 2012 to represent landmark years for innovative green vehicles that will grace showrooms from sea to shining sea. Based on what I’ve seen, read, and driven around in, I’m going to be sorely disappointed should those estimates be off. I’m literally saving now so that I will have something then to alleviate the stress of watching oil prices climb higher and higher. The next decade will be the “era of electrification” for transportation. I can’t tell you how thrilled I will be to hook up my car up to some solar panels and be presented with a beautiful little closed loop of clean energy. Bring it.
